Srijat is the pioneer of full blown feature rich education ERPs in the country. He sowed the seeds of education ERP through e-IMS (Greycells’ precursor). and has been instrumental in many premier schools and institutes maintain their edge through technology leadership. He was among the first to introduce professional consulting services into the education sector and has helped set-up universities from scratch. He envisions a society where teaching and learning are ends in themselves for sustained economic growth. Srijat believes edtech has the answers to the need for new models that can exponentially enhance the impact of education space in the society at large.He is currently leading this transformation, with Vordurja as its vehicle, and hopes to touch millions of lives in the process. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur and after passing out from IIM Calcutta, Srijat worked as a consultant and an analyst with top tier business consulting and financial advisory firms. He is committed to constantly evolving entrepreneurial landscape and actively helps young organizations navigate their journey...

Leadership through innovation

IIn a short span of 5 years in the in mid 2000s, well before the product innovation wave in the country, he was instrumental in promoting through Kalingasoft education ERPs in hundreds of schools and colleges. in expanding their edge over competition. For years, eIMS (and Greycells) have helped premier schools like Doon & Mayo to maintain their leadership in the school segment. eIMS (and Greycells) have also been used by many other premier education organizations in the country including IITs, NITs, leading private and public universities, education conglomerates. Kalingasoft has also developed and launched the online entrance exam solution in the country in 2005, well before the days of the ‘cloud’.

History of success

Srijat has been instrumental in formalising the education consulting in the country Has been involved in the setting-up of green fields private Universities and education institutes for a few years between 2008-2012.

Prior to wearing the edupreneur’s hat, was involved in business consulting and financial advisory for top tier organizations like Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC), Moody's Indian arm ICRA and A.F.Ferguson (currently a part of Deloitte). Srijat has provided business consulting and financial advisory services for top tier organizations after passing out from IIM Calcutta. Has advised many leading conglomerates during his corporate stint including including TVS Group, Tatas, Mahindras, Force group (erstwhile Bajaj), Reliance and many more.

Srijat′s is also an avid blogger, and writes on a variety of topics at www.unmuddlings.com. In addition to edtech, Srijat is excited about health and livelihood/entrepreneurship sectors. He was a part of the founding team of CureBay (which is improving accessibility and affordability of healthcare to remote locations through e-clinics is the fastest growing health tech start-up in the country) and conceptualized the business model. He also devotes a part of his time to mentor young entrepreneurs.
